Disaster becomes opportunity. Last night, I was on the horn with a photographer, discussing a photo shoot for an upcoming magazine article. We kicked around possible locations and a good mix of athletes to get into the pictures. Today, I’m checking the map and rounding up other trail runners. A couple of weeks ago, it looked like the story might not get published due to photo concerns. Ultimately, the magazine editor decided to retain a professional photographer. I look forward to collaborating with F-stop Fitzgerald. Accept any new learning experience that offers itself.
While working to get back into the business world, I’m wrapping up a stories for FasterSkier and OxygenFedSport and developing a new magazine story. The only way to stay on top of all this is to be organized. Make a list of all the things you want to accomplish tomorrow. Don’t “keep it in your head.” Write everything down and check off items as you complete them.
